Not too long ago I speculated that CrimeCraft might be in trouble when they announced back in Oct 09 they would start to offer an free subscription option. Today, I was browsing around CrimeCraft’s website and noticed they had a leaderboard setup for individual players and gangs. So I decided to add up the numbers to see if I could guesstimate how many active players CrimeCraft currently has.
From an initial look, it seems that the individual leaderboard maxes out at 2,500 players, so it didn’t really help. But when looking at the Gang Leaderboard, it only went up to 15 pages, less than the 125 pages for individual characters. On top of that, the 15th page shows gangs mostly made up of 2-5 members, so from what I can tell it appears to be the bottom of the barrel.
Adding up the Members column, it came to 4704 players that are in gangs. As with any MMO, there are always players that like to solo, so I decided to double the player number bringing my guesstimate to 9,408 active players.
Again, I’d like to stress this is only a guess, but I’d be very surprised to learn if I was off by more than a few thousand.
Doesn’t Surprise Me
BIG SHAME FOR A COOL GAME
-Server crashes 1x a day, and sometimes 2x,
-A loot of lags
-Dumb responses for mods on crash reasons.
-No reward for server off time for premium or free users
Game is coded so you must spend eternity to go high lvls even when u have premium acc.
Try it 100%, but don’t spend your money for bad services.
hi give me the code for crimecraft
hi give me the goldbar
I suppose it would only be fair to update this a bit. With the recent release of the bleedout episodes and CC being released on Steam as F2P, there has been a large increase in the number of active players. Recently a new server was added for the EU players.
However, despite the amount of time the game has been out, the game still seems to have plenty of flaws. With the added servers the game at least is not longer laggy due to too many players. But the servers still crash or go down for maintenance at least once a day. I myself had issue with some 24 hour boosts I received through steam, that were only suppose to countdown while logged in. However after being kicked off for a 3 hour server maintenance, I later logged in to find I had lost more than half of my boosts.
Support tickets are currently backed up beyond believe. Some players are complaining about wait times up to 2 weeks to even hear a response back for their tickets. Steam users are unable to get recurring subscriptions.
So the issues are still there. The game could be great if there was better support for it.
