Tanadu by Can’t Stop Games which boasts 15 million users, mainly in German speaking countries, is looking to widen its audience and head over to American shores. Tanadu is available on the StudiVZ network, a social networking site. Tanadu is free-to-play.
Tomasz (what a cool name!) Wecki, PR Manager at Can’t Stop Games, had the following to say about Tanadu. “Tanadu is targeted primarily to young people, and StudiVZ is a place meant for students. We will get along perfectly. We certainly hope this will be a good entry on the German market – and we are definitely planning new ways to expand.”
Tanadu is a fantasy RTS MMO that lets you assume the role of a hero and leader, struggling to expand his realm and battle for his people.
Tanadu is the name of the magic force in the game that the story centers around. You play as one of the many leaders of the war-torn “Lost Continent.” You will have to recruit other heroes, organize them into a great army, and lead your warriors onto the fields of battle.
“Mythic dragons, dwarven flying ships, deceitful elves, ancient horrors and powerful magic – all of this can be found in a unique high fantasy world of Tanadu.”
Tanadu seems to have nice, hardcore cartoon style, not quite anime, but definitely influenced by the Asian MMO market. Gameplay seems to be more highly menu-based than most MMO’s and offers a top-down perspective of the field of play that compliments its RTS style.
Needless to say, Tanadu seems like an interesting game to watch. Head on over to the official website for more details.
