Heroes of the Three Kingdoms (Hotk) from Perfect World Entertainment has officially announced that its closed beta will be arriving July 13th.
For those unfamiliar with Hotk, its a free-to-play, historically-based MMORPG set in medieval China. Players choose from three kingdoms to join and then wage battle – beginning with the Battle of Red Cliff where an estimated 100,000 people bravely gave their lives.
Product Manager AJ Potter released the following statement concerning the game. “Heroes of Three Kingdoms is one of our most anticipated games to date and we’re very excited to be launching the closed beta in North America in less than two weeks. Regardless of whether you are familiar with the Battle of Red Cliff, the legend is one that resonates throughout history-from the tale of David versus Goliath or the battle of 300 Spartans against the forces of Xerxes. Heroes of Three Kingdoms brings to life one of the most turbulent periods in history.”
