Nadirim adds Lore Video and additional content to website

Nadirim, an upcoming browser-based MMO by WebFunTeam and Digital Reality, has redesigned their website to accompany a new and exciting lore video. This is the first time we have been given a peak into the backstory surrounding this game, and so far, it does not disappoint.

The video takes on stylized imagery in it’s description of a young thief named Anwar who happens upon a battered oil lamp. Static images shift and transition to give the impression of animation, while a narrator speaks of the paradise Anwar wished of the lamp’s djinn, Nadir. Though Nadir could have easily destroyed the small human, there remained an ancient pact between Man and Djinn, and he was bound to fulfill one wish. So a towering, lavish city who’s citizens lacked nothing rose from the ground and glistened in the heat of the Empire of the Eternal Sun. I’ll leave you this last tidbit of lore to whet your appetite and inevitably cause you to visit the official site:

After Nadir had created the caliphate, he vanished without a trace. The former thief Anwar became caliph and ruled nobly and justly for a hundred years. But Anwar did not know the background of the pact between men and djinns: without an equal trade, Nadir could take back the granted wish.
